Obec is a 3D roguelike action boss combat game where you strategize creative ways to defeat bosses, unlocking new fights, skills, and areas. Navigate the purgatory Prison as Sophia, a soul seeking purification, and conquer Wardens in dynamic, combo-oriented battles.
Once joining the project, I have been in charge of fine-tuning the core gameplay, improve 3C, increase the overall design quality and make sure the intentions were properly conveyed.
A large part of my work on Obec has been related to boss design: design, implement, polish and rework enemy mechanics, be it their attacks, patterns, global AI, feedbacks, understanding of their mechanics, etc.
Through the production, I have been taking charge of the balancing of the game, with (of course) a heavy focus on the boss battles and their possible outcomes.
